As part of the steps taken to fight the spread of COVID-19, the government cancelled all exams/tests due to take place in schools and colleges in England for the 2019-20 and 2020-21 academic years. The government also announced that they would not publish any national, regional, local or constituency statistics for any primary school assessments for these two academic years. These assessments include: The Early Years Foundation Stage Profile, Year 1 phonics screening check, Key Stage 1 SATs, Year 4 multiplication tables check and KS2 SATs.
